Foundation Mission

The mission of the King Springs Elementary Foundation is to provide resources beyond those currently provided by the Cobb County School District to supplement elements of enhanced education.  The Foundation has set a goal to provide funding for teacher support, teacher training,  and teacher stipends, incentives, and rewards for going above and beyond to support KSE goals.  Additional areas of focus include enriched curriculum, technology, STEM support, and capital improvements.

Examples of school-level support include:

• Start-up supplies and equipment - each teacher received $200 gift card to purchase items from amazon wishlists and any other materials needed to set-up their classrooms.
• Subscriptions used by students (e.g. Keyboarding Without Tears, Reflex Math, 4th/5th grade Agendas and iXL, Flocabulary, StoryWorks, and Lexia)
• Supplies for STEM, including STEM Night
• Field Trips for grade levels - this includes admission to experiences AND transportation.
• Teacher selected technology, equipment, and curriculum enhancements through our Springing Forward Grade Level Grants and Funding Requests.
• Two graduating student scholarships for the Linda B. Keeney Scholarship

For the 2025-2026 school year the Foundation is looking to raise enough funds to cover:

• Fees for charter buses, allowing students to go to more locations for a longer amount of time. 
• Materials needed to create a Makers Space in the Learning Commons.
  
• ​Materials to provide regulation corners in every classroom.
