Make good choices. Do the right thing and have a great day at King Springs!" These are the famous words uttered every morning during Linda B. Keeney's tenure as principal at King Springs Elementary. It was good advice for all who crossed the threshold of the school.
In 2017, upon Ms. Keeney's retirement, the King Springs Foundation decided to establish a post-secondary Linda B. Keeney Scholarship for King Springs alumni. We invite former King Springs students who attended KSE for a minimum of three (3) years, will be graduating from a Cobb County high school in Spring 2026, and who have been accepted to an accredited post-secondary educational program to apply. 2026 Linda B. Keeney Scholarship Recipients
King Springs Foundation is thrilled to announce two recipients of the 2025-2026 Linda B. Keeney Scholarship - Prayushi Patel and Sean Patrick. The two $2,000 scholarship awards were presented by Scholarship Chair, Danielle Hutto, and former King Springs principal, Linda Keeney, during Campbell High School's Who's Who Ceremony on Tuesday, April 28. Prayushi Patel will be attending Georgia Tech to study Neuroscience/Pre-Med and Sean Patrick will be attending the University of Alabama to study Finance. We wish these former Springers the best of luck as they enter college this fall!

Thanks to the generosity of donors, we have been able to increase the Scholarship from $1,000 in the year of its inception to $2,000! From 2021-2023 and 2026, with additional donations, we were able to award a second student with the Scholarship for a total of $4,000 ($2,000 per student)!
If you or your company would like to invest in the futures of area students, the King Springs Foundation has established a restricted scholarship fund specifically to expand the number of scholarships we are able to provide. You may donate via the button below or you may contact the Foundation President, or Treasurer for information on more ways to donate.
Eligible students must meet the following criteria:
- Attended King Springs Elementary for at least three (3) years.
- Accepted to and will be attending an accredited post-secondary education institution in the United States.
- Expected to graduate from a Cobb County high school in Spring 2026.
- Submit a copy via e-mail of 2025-2026 school transcript with your application - please ensure the document is legible in your e-mail.
- Please prepare a scanned copy of your fully completed application in PDF format and email to [email protected].
- Completed applications must be received via e-mail by the April 3, 2026 deadline.
- Late or incomplete applications missing any information (transcripts, letters of recommendation, essays, etc.) WILL NOT be considered.
- The 2026 Linda B. Keeney Scholarship will be awarded in the April or May 2026.
